Extensive walking and bicycling paths run along Reykjavík’s southern shoreline, where Ægisíða and Fossvogur are two of the most popular areas with excellent views over the sea and Reykjavík’s surroundings. These paths connect two of Reykjavik's out-door recreation areas of Elliðaárdalur and Fossvogur.

The Pearl 
When you visit the Pearl you should step outside to enjoy one of Reykjavik´s best views. On the viewing deck you will find panoramic telescopes at each of the six corners of the platform with recorded descriptions in Icelandic, English, Norwegian, German and French.
